Hello!

Since you are visiting this page, you are probably wondering what this blog is all about. The purpose for this blog is to encourage and inspire women from all walks of life.  We women face many struggles in our life.  Who am I kidding?  For most of us, we face many struggles in one day!!  Through all the struggles and day to day nuances, we are in constant need of a "pick me up." My hope is to be that "pick me up" for you.  I hope to give encouragement through my discoveries as I navigate my way through the Bible and other motivational reads.  And in the process, I hope to draw closer to the Lord.

The title of this blog, Porching with the KING, came from my many hours sitting on my front porch praying and devouring Scripture along with devotionals.  My porch is my "special place." It is here, where I meet with the King. It is here, among other places, where revelations are revealed. Whether I'm sipping on a cup of coffee or a glass of iced tea, my time, Porching with the KING, is sacred to me.

You will find PORCH DWELLINGS in the right-hand side bar.  Here you will find several topics. A Cup of Coffee will be devotions that I have written or devotions from some of my favorite resources. Tea Time will be revelations or "a-ha" moments.  You know, the kind of moments when God finally reveals something that you had never fully grasped previously?  A Bit of Chocolate (because who doesn't love chocolate?) will be a short inspirational quote or scripture to "chew" on.  And lastly, The Porch Swing, will be excerpts and nuggets of knowledge from some of my favorite authors!

I will be in constant prayer that the Lord will give me the encouragement I need to stay consistent in encouraging others.  Thank you for visiting, Porching with the KING.  Hope you visit often!
